According to the latest news, if you're planning a trip to Japan now, you can probably save extra money by booking domestic flights. According to recent news reports, Japan Airlines (JAL) is launching an exciting new offer that aims to entice international travelers to travel outside of Japan's popular tourist destinations such as Kyoto, Tokyo and Osaka.

The airline is reportedly offering free domestic flights within Japan to visitors from certain countries, giving them the freedom to choose lesser-known regions to explore across the country. The initiative is part of Japan's efforts to expand tourism and promote its lesser-known regions, offering travelers a more authentic and diverse Japanese experience.

Who can benefit from it?

U Indian travelers have a reason to rejoice now! It is reported that travelers from countries such as Canada, USA, Mexico, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, India, China and Taiwan can take advantage of this offer. Japan Airlines will likely expand this list to include more countries in the near future.

To be eligible for the free ticket, travelers must use JAL to book both a domestic flight within Japan and international flight to Japan in one booking.

Many travelers can take advantage of the offer for free, but those from the US, Canada, Mexico and China who stay in Japan for more than 24 hours will have to pay a stopover fee 100 US dollars or 300 yen. There are no additional costs for eligible travelers from other countries.

To be eligible for free tickets, travelers must first book international round trip tickets, and at the time of that purchase they can book the proposed domestic flights.

Japan Airlines is promoting this offer to ensure it covers Japan's lesser-known destinations on the travel radar. For example, visitors can fly into Tokyo and then take a free domestic trip to Hokkaido, which is well known for its world-class ski resorts and stunning national parks. Some of the recommended sites include Nachi Falls, Japan's largest waterfall, and Wakayama, where tourists can explore the revered Koyasan Temple complex.
