Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) welcomes the launch of a new route from Bangalore to Mauritius on 19 November 2024. This service will be operated by IndiGo, one of India's leading airlines, and will feature four direct flights per week, significantly improving connectivity between the two destinations.
Mr. Arvind Bundhun, Director, Tourism Development Authority Mauritius (MTPA), expressed enthusiasm for the launch of the new route: “We are very excited and look forward to welcoming travelers to Mauritius on IndiGo's new route. This positive development highlights the growing interest in Mauritius as a unique and exciting tourism destination. Moreover, it will help us reach pan India and target weddings, honeymoons, MICE and holiday destinations. We believe that this route will strengthen our ties with the South Indian market and expand our horizons for tourism and trade.”
Mauritius is one of the most easily accessible travel destinations from India thanks to its convenient Visa-on-Arrival service, which you can get for free. As a destination with spectacular visual and sensory offerings, the island's appeal as an ideal holiday paradise will be further enhanced by this new development.
