Vantage Point Sharjah photography exhibition takes place in Sharjah

You can view the work of four photographers from Syria, India, Indonesia and Bangladesh from September 28 to December 8, 2024

September 28, 2024, the 12th annual exhibition of works by international photographers Vantage Point Sharjah. The traditional venue will be the Bait Obaid Al Shamsi Heritage House at the Arts Square in the historical Heart of Sharjah complex.

This year's theme was “If I Were Another,” from a poem by Palestinian poet and writer Mahmoud Darvish. The exhibition organizers announced an open international competition, following which the works of four photographers were selected: Sara Kontar from Syria, Thasil Suhara Backer from India, Arum Dayu from Indonesia and Mosfiqur Rahman Yokar Rahman Johan) from Bangladesh.

The photographs of the participants are created based on their own experiences, history and collective memory using various artistic techniques. The works are presented in different halls of the museum in the form of separate presentations.

Admission to the exhibition is free, museum opening hours: Saturday-Thursday from 9 am to 9 pm, Friday from 4 to 9 pm.
