Exciting Exhibitions
“Honoring the Past to Celebrate the Future: Qatar's Educational Vision Exhibition” is currently on display at Liwan Design Studios and Labs, showcasing the history of women's education in Qatar from 1938 to 2006. The exhibition highlights the country's first girls' school, Banat El Doha, founded by Amna Mahmoud Al Jaida and the Ministry of Education, and its impact on generations of women. Additionally, the exhibition “Mohamed Melehi: A Giant of Postcolonial Art in Morocco” is currently on view at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, highlighting Moroccan artistic wonders of the postcolonial era.
“In the Footsteps of Ara Güler: Exploring a Legacy photographer" is currently being held at the Museum of Islamic Art. The exhibition is a special collaboration between the Ara Güler Museum in Istanbul and Qatar Museums, showing the life of the famous photographer. "Space Art Exhibition: Cosmic Canvas" will be on display until September 20 at the Al Thurayya Planetarium, Katara Cultural Village, ideal for astronomy lovers.
S'hail – Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition returns to this month for the eighth time from September 10 to 14 at Katara Cultural Village. S'hail is one of the largest international falcon shows, offering visitors falcon auctions, hunting-related handicrafts, falcon supplies and more.
Geekdom on Lusail Boulevard hosts Geekend with September 12 to 14. This event returns bigger and better than its predecessor, with stage programming, sci-fi shows, Geekend Market, Geekend Lounge, board game area, escape room game and eSports tournaments for an action-packed weekend of entertainment.
ConteQ Expo 2024 will take place at the Qatar National Convention Center from 16 to 18 September. The event is hosted by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Labor and Ashghal Public Works Department and organized by NeXTfairs for Conferences & Exhibitions. As the first of its kind, ConteQ Expo 2024 will showcase the latest research and innovative breakthroughs in construction and services related to increased productivity, quality, reliability, cost savings, waste reduction and energy efficiency.
Next International Coffee Expo The Doha International Coffee Exhibition 2024 will take place from 26 to 28 September at the Doha Convention and Exhibition Centre. This exhibition is the leading event for the global coffee industry, featuring innovative and educational coffee trade from the world's leading coffee suppliers.
To support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Al-Markhiya Gallery in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent organizes a fine art exhibition entitled “The Sky Over Gaza... Imagine.” The exhibition will run from September 17 to November 7 at Al Markhiya Gallery, The Fire Station. It will feature the work of more than 50 artists from Qatar, Palestine and several other Arab countries, all inspired by the Palestinian cause and Gaza's resilience.
Fairs for every taste
Rouda Al Malki runs until September 4 at the Qatar National Convention Center - a great exhibition for fashion lovers. The Lawazim fair will run until September 7 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center and will showcase a variety of international products such as abayas, jalabiyas, accessories, perfumes, homewares and food. The Family Shopping Fair will take place from September 22 to October 8 at the Doha Convention and Exhibition Centre. The fair will feature a variety of fashion products, perfumes and food products from different countries.
