Mid to late September is considered the ideal season for moon gazing, when the moon shines at its brightest. "O-tsukimi" are popular festivals held since ancient times in honor of the moon, associated with expressing gratitude for the bountiful harvest. As part of this tradition, the three-day event will be held from September 16 at the Mukojima Hyakkaen Gardens in Mukojima, Sumida City, where TOKYO SKYTREE is located. The garden is recognized as a national beauty and historical site. During the festival, the park will be open until 9 pm so visitors can enjoy the moonlight to their heart's content amid the soft glow of lanterns and musical performances of traditional Japanese instruments.
