This year the regatta will take place on June 28, 29 and 30, 2024, west of Surfside beach, just behind Neptali Henriques Speltuin.
There are 14 racing classes: Optimists, SailQube, F11, Beachcats, Sunfishes, Lasers, Yachts Racing, Yachts Live Aboard Cruisers, as well as multihulls, miniature boats (30-35 -40 inches), windsurfers and kites.
We invited sailing clubs from Bonaire and Curacao to take part in the 2024 regatta in Aruba.
The timing of the regatta was adjusted to optimize participation of young seafarers. The regatta is now held at the end of the school year to ensure sailing cadets have completed at least one year of training and can end the year with a very fun regatta.
The vision of ARF, the Aruba Regatta Foundation, is to introduce more people with sailing and bring them closer to nature and sustainable water sports. The regatta aims to reach as many young people as possible and introduce more people to the joy of sailing.
In 2023, seventy-five sailors took part in more than forty races over two action-packed days and were awarded 27 trophies , specially designed for the regatta and made from recycled plastic and recycled wood.
In 2024, the regatta aims to attract over one hundred sailors to the regatta village, located west of Surfside Beach, in collaboration with a number of generous sponsors and partners.
