Virgin Limited Edition has announced the addition of luxury safari camp Finch Hattons in Kenya to its portfolio of properties.

The camp, located in Tsavo National Park, will become the brand's fifth facility in Africa after the opening of Mahali Mzuri in Kenya, the Ulusaba private game reserve, the Mont Rochelle Hotel and Vineyard in South Africa and the Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco.

The property was named after the British aristocrat and hunter Denis Finch Hatton, who was also the lover of the famous writer Karen Blixen, better known as Isak Dinesen, was featured in the autobiographical novel Out of Africa.

Finch Hattons offers 17 luxury tented suites. 14 are standard suites, two are two-bedroom family suites, and the last is a private suite with its own plunge pool. Meanwhile, Chyulu Spa is within sight of the Shetani lava flows and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Activities include safari, Shetani tour, Oldoño Laramie volcano trek and nature walks.

Finch Hattons will become part of the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio from 1 July this year.
