Meikles Hotel in Harare sold

The Meikles hotel in Harare was renamed HyattRegency Harare after the property was purchased by the company Albwardy from the United Arab Emirates for US$20 million in 2019.


According to thezimbabwemail.com, the hotel has successfully undergone significant renovations and renovations to the level of a luxury hotel over the past five years.


Hyatt Regency Harare will welcome its first guests in August during the SADC summit, which will attract regional leaders to the capital.


The hotel is also expected to play a key role in accommodation international cricket teams during the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup. Zimbabwe, along with South Africa and Namibia, will host the joint event.
