Last month, JW Marriott opened its second hotel in Kenya - JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi in the Westlands commercial district. Another hotel is the JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge.
Westlands, Nairobi's entertainment capital, is just 3 km from the city's central business district and 20 km from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The 35-story hotel has 315 rooms, five restaurants, a JW spa, a fitness center and eight event spaces.
The hotel has more than 1,700 sq. m. meeting and event spaces for corporate events, family gatherings and celebrations. This includes the Grand Ballroom, which seats 800 guests.
Restaurants include MIDI Café & Patisserie, serving drinks, pastries and light breakfasts; Myna Restaurant, offering breakfast and brunch buffets; and Hudson Tavern Bar & Grill, an upscale sports bar serving tapas, mezze and burgers.
Later this year, the hotel will open 51 serviced apartments, as well as a sky bar and lounge.
Served apartments, available in one, two and three bedroom options, will offer long-stay guests and family groups a luxurious stay.
Restaurants, opening later this year include Mughal, a fine dining restaurant on the hotel's 31st floor, and Mr Pang Sky Bar & Lounge, serving pan-Asian cuisine and mixology.
