Aviation authorities of Mozambique and Angola signed an aviation agreement between the two countries and their flag carriers.
Sustainability in the Sky reports that Angolan airline TAAG can now operate flights via Mozambique. The same will apply to Mozambican airline LAM's operations in Angola.
According to the Angolan Civil Aviation Authority, passengers traveling between destinations in Africa or around the world using any carrier will also be able to more easily transfer if one airline does not fly the entire route.
“The aviation authorities of the two countries are working in accordance with the policies of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), not allowing any country to be left behind. Through this collaboration, we will complement each other and fill existing gaps,” said Amelia Cuvingua, PCA of the Angolan National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC).
