According to Pokhara Mayor Dhanaraj Acharya, this declaration has profound implications for the global recognition of Pokhara. In addition, it was announced that from Sunday, businesses such as discos, nightclubs and live music venues in Pokhara will be able to operate at night, providing enhanced entertainment and recreational facilities.
Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Surendra Raj Pandey noted that various establishments, including bars, restaurants, spas, grocery stores and eateries located in key areas such as Lakeside, Prithvi Chowk, Mahendrapool and Chipledhunga in Pokhara will be allowed to continue operating until 1 am. This benefit is provided on the condition that they meet the prescribed standards.
