MSC Cruises will install Starlink infrastructure to provide satellite Internet service on two-thirds of its ships by May this year.

The cruise line initially tested capacity and data transmission using SpaceX's low-orbit satellite technology in 2022. Since then, MSC has installed Starlink equipment on 15 of its 22 ships, travelpulse.com reports.

MSC Magnifica became the first ship in its fleet to be equipped with Starlink in December 2022.

MSC offers guests two internet packages: one for viewing web pages, the other for web browsing and streaming.
