Emirates announced that starting June 3, it will operate daily flights between Miami International Airport and Eldorado International Airport in Bogota, Colombia.

Flight EK213 will depart Dubai at 02:15 and arrive in Miami at 10:05, then depart at 12:35 and arrive in Bogota at 15:25. Return flight EK214 from Bogota will depart at 17:25 and arrive in Miami at 22:15, then depart at 00:45 and arrive in Dubai at 23:00.

In 2021 Civil Aviation Authority Colombia and the UAE have signed an agreement allowing UAE carriers Emirates and Etihad to operate daily flights to Bogota. The agreement allowed UAE carriers to increase the frequency of flights to Bogota to several daily flights if they served the route throughout the year.

Spanish conquistadors spent decades searching for the legendary Muisca people and their mythical city of gold, rumored to be located in the northern Andes in what is now Colombia.

Emirates currently operates several routes to South America, including Buenos Aires in Argentina, and Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo in Brazil.
