Air Mauritius has announced plans to launch two seasonal weekly direct flights from Mauritius to Rome from October 16 to April 30 next year.
The Airbus A330-900neo aircraft will be deployed in two classes: 28 seats in business class and 260 seats in economy class. Flights are scheduled for Wednesday and Sunday, with flight MK030 departing Mauritius at 08:40 and arriving in Rome at 17:40 from 16 to 26 October. Return flight MK041 from Rome will depart at 19:25 and arrive in Mauritius at 08:05 the next day.
From 27 October to 29 March next year, flight MK030 will depart Mauritius at 09:40 and land in Rome at 17:40. Return flight MK041 will depart Rome at 19:25 and arrive in Mauritius at 09:05 the next day.
From 30 March to 30 April next year, flight MK030 will depart Mauritius at 08:40 and arrive to Rome at 17:40. Return flight MK041 will depart Rome at 19:25 and arrive in Mauritius at 08:05 the next day.
Laurent Recourt, director in charge of Air Mauritius, said the introduction of two direct flights to Rome was part of consolidation of the airline's European network. “The tourism industry in Mauritius will also benefit from these two non-stop flights, which will attract more visitors to Mauritius from Italy and neighboring countries.”
