South African hotel management group Cresta Hotels has opened a new wing with 60 new rooms to the Mahalapye Cresta Hotel. The property is strategically located along the A1 highway, approximately 180 km from Gaborone.
The new south wing complements the existing north wing and increases the total number of rooms to 124. It includes 55 deluxe rooms, two presidential suites, two executive suites and a specially designed paraplegic room.
Cresta Hotels Managing Director Mokwena Morulane outlined Cresta Hotels' growth vision, detailing current and upcoming investments in various properties across Botswana. The company aims to become the dominant mid-market hotel group in South Africa and plans technological advancements including a new cloud-based property management system.
