Macao Grand Prix Museum (“Museum”), managed by the Authority The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will launch a series of special events to coincide with the 70th Macau Grand Prix next month. Highlights include an all-new mapping show, a throwback video capturing standout moments from the Macau Grand Prix, a special exhibition from a leading international racing team, a virtual reality feature, extended opening hours and a special discount for on-site ticket purchases, among others. They are deployed to allow residents and visitors to experience the racing month atmosphere of the Macau Grand Prix Platinum Anniversary celebrations, while deepening tourism + sport integration and enriching the kaleidoscope of travel experiences.
Daily Map Show in November
Every November night, a new map show will be projected on the outer wall of the Macau Grand Prix Museum, namely the map show "Chronicles of the Macau Grand Prix Museum: 70 Legendary Years". The five-minute show will run every 15 minutes from 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm every evening from November 1st to 30th to further enhance the event atmosphere and offer another choice of nightly entertainment.
Spectacular historical moments races in one video
The Museum specially prepared a video known as “70 legendary years of the Macau Grand Prix”. The video, which lasts about four to five minutes, captures the wonderful and memorable moments of the Macau Grand Prix over the past few decades, including the transformation of the Guia circuit, the fierce competition between drivers from around the world, the touching moments of the racing teams and the fervor of the spectators. The video will be broadcast in the museum's cinema hall from November 1.
VR360o replay of the exciting race
The museum will launch a completely new virtual reality (VR) system to reproduce VR 360° races . Visitors can wear VR headsets at the museum to see a replay of the Macau Cup - China Touring Car Championship at the 2022 Macau Grand Prix. The VR feature allows for a multi-dimensional, immersive racing experience, just like on the race track.
Special exhibition of the world's leading racing team Oracle Red Bull Racing
From October 27 to 19 In November, a special exhibition "Oracle Red Bull Racing" will be held in the basement of the museum, which will present the history of "Oracle Red Bull Racing", the equipment of Formula 1 pilots, as well as a promotional video for the racing team. MGTO is also supporting another parallel flash event, the Red Bull Pit Stop Challenge, at Galaxy MacauTM to expand and highlight the destination's appeal, enhanced by sporting events.
Extend Museum opening hours on race days
The Museum will extend opening hours until 21:30 (tickets until 21:00) on November 11, 12, 16, 17, 18 and 19, on six race days 70- th Macau Grand Prix. The extended opening hours will include two public tour sessions at 6:30 p.m. (English) and 7:30 p.m. (Mandarin) as well as two additional screenings in the theater at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Starting November 1, 2023, the museum will launch two discount ticket offers on site, including once again partnering with Visa HK to offer a special discount to credit card users (November 1 – December 31, 2023). Another ticket discount (from November 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024) will be launched in partnership with Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and ICBC Macau for users of the ICBC UnionPay Platinum Card (known as the "ICBC Fashion Macau Credit Card" ). Using any of the above-mentioned credit cards, users can receive a 10% discount on the purchase of admission tickets (applicable to standard and concession tickets) at the box office. The discount offer cannot be combined with other special offers.
MGTO continues to enrich the range of elements of the Macau Grand Prix Museum with innovative technologies and launch various exhibitions and events to provide educational experiences for residents and visitors, showcasing the diversity of “tourism” +" and increase the attractiveness of the destination.
