Following the lifting of border restrictions in Macau, the Macau Special Administrative Region government continued to promote a series of promotions to destinations on the mainland. The Fujian-Xiamen Macau Week Mega Roadshow will be held at Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street in Siming District, Xiamen City from October 26 to 30. Fujian-Xiamen Macau Week, the third event of its kind this year, will showcase Macau's diverse tourism+ offerings for Xiamen residents through a mega road show, mapping show and food promotion, among other highlights. The goal is to expand the mainland market and attract mainland Macau residents to great festivals and events in the second half of the year.

Grand opening on October 26

Macau Week in the province of Fujian-Xiamen, which will be attended by several local governments, enterprises, trade and public associations, will be inaugurated with an opening ceremony on October 26th. The mega road show will bring the Zhongshan Pedestrian Street in Xiamen's Siming District to life for five consecutive days to showcase Macau's vibrant "Tourism+" experience.

Experience the glamor of Macau with "Tourism+"

The roadshow will feature various thematic areas/stands: an overview of Macau and its gastronomy, festivals and events; "A Look at the Macau Grand Prix Museum"; MAC MAC Flash Store; MAC MAC House of Miracles; Macau's diverse culture; Macau sporting events; Sales of Macau tourism products; trade, commerce and economy of Macau; an information display by the Bureau of Economic and Technological Development; and a showcase of Macau's tourism industry, represented by six integrated resort businesses and airlines, among others. The stands will highlight the colorful aspects of Macau's tourism, trade and commerce, culture and creativity, sports, entertainment and much more. Spectators will be able to enjoy the planned wonderful performances on the main stage, as well as performances by local artists for cultural and artistic exchange.

Cultural fusion with Fujian custom game

On the road -the show will feature a game called “MAK MAC Moon Pie”. Adapted from the mooncake dice game as a special custom of Fujian, the dice game replaces the numbers on the dice with images of unique Macau elements. Participants will not only be able to win prizes according to their results, but will also be able to learn more about the culture and attractions of Macau in the game, which is a mixture of Fujian and Macau cultures.

Exciting map show

During the roadshow, the façade of Seashine Department Store on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street will host map shows every 30 minutes from 6:30 p.m. PST to promote "Fujian-Xiamen Macau Week" and "Know Macau Unlimited" at 21:30 every evening from October 26 to October 30. Each show lasts about 3.5 minutes.

Special travel offers from businesses

As part of this Macau Week, travel companies will present special travel offers worth more than 42 million yuan on air tickets, hotels, restaurants, etc. for sale on roadshows and various platforms.

Xiamen and Macau Culinary Meeting

MGTO, Galaxy MacauTM Integrated Resort and Andaz Xiamen Hotel are jointly organizing the gastronomic event “Fujian•Xiamen Macau Week - Discover the Taste of Macau in Xiamen”. The event is supported by Dehua County in Quanzhou, Fujian and Macau Beer. During the event, Andaz Xiamen will feature a Macau menu and a flash shop of Granny Rose's Portuguese Pies, providing a glimpse into Macau's culinary scene as a creative city of gastronomy.

Fujian and Macau retail chains for opportunities for business

MGTO and the Macau Institute for Trade and Investment Promotion (IPIM) will host a destination presentation and networking workshop, as well as a Xiamen-Macao 25 ​​business networking workshop on October 26, respectively, to introduce Macau's resources and strengths to Xiamen tourism and trade officials, trade representatives, investors and the media. Industry representatives from both sides will communicate and discuss business opportunities for further cooperation at seminars.
